Monday, March 9th, 2009: Manny Delcarmen to Miss 8 Weeks
"It was kinda freaky. Hopefully, I'll be back in the lineup soon," said a dejected Manny Delcarmen after injuring himself in a game against Toronto. The Baltimore manager told SION reporters, "He will miss up to 8 weeks with back spasms." The Orioles will have to decide over the next day or two whether the reliever will go on the disabled list.

Monday, March 9th, 2009: Orioles Curtis Granderson Injured: Day-to-Day
Orioles star center fielder Curtis Granderson may be sitting it out a few days after he picked up an injury in yesterday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays. He sustained a bruised ribs while making a defensive play. Granderson isn't expected to miss a lot of time. However, doctors want to be cautious. They said he would be day-to-day for about 1-2 weeks.

Sunday, September 28th, 2008: Injury Takes Toll, Delcarmen Out 1-2 Weeks
The Orioles received bad news this morning. Manny Delcarmen will miss 1-2 weeks due to damaged meniscus (knee). In the Baltimore-Minnesota game he sustained the injury while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Delcarmen sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."

Crunching the numbers on Delcarmen for the year, he has made 52 games, recorded 5 saves and compiled a 3-3 won-lost mark and 3.46 ERA. In pitching 67.2 innings, he has totaled 70 strikeouts and 28 walks.
